Recap: Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats vs. Brewbaker Tech Rams
Even though the Brewbaker Tech Rams scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats still came out on top. Trinity Presbyterian skirted past Brewbaker Tech 65-62. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Presbyterian.
Despite the loss, Brewbaker Tech had strong showings from Johnathan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Tyler Dixon, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Honer, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Brewbaker Tech were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Trinity Presbyterian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Brewbaker Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Trinity Presbyterian will be home for the holidays to greet Montgomery Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Montgomery Catholic is ranked 260th, while Trinity Presbyterian is ranked 262nd). As for Brewbaker Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against LAMP at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
