Lake Forest Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Deerfield Warriors by a score of 60-51. 60 seems to be a good number for the Caxys as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Despite the loss, Deerfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Eve Engler posted 24 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Engler a new career-high in blocks (five). Chloe Cooper was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven assists.

Lake Forest Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Deerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Lake Forest Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-26 win against Lakes on the 8th. As for Deerfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-45 defeat against Maine South on the 7th.
