Basketball Game Preview: Draughn Wildcats vs. R-S Central Hilltoppers

Having just played yesterday, the Draughn Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the R-S Central Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Draughn is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-40, which was the final score in Draughn's tilt against Freedom on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Patriots are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-52, which was the final score in R-S Central's tilt against Hendersonville on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now lost five in a row.

R-S Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Draughn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Draughn beat R-S Central 74-64 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Draughn since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
