Basketball Recap: Haltom Takes a Loss

Haltom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 64-44 to the South Grand Prairie Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 641st, while the Warriors are ranked 76th).

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for South Grand Prairie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Haltom will square off against Sam Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Grand Prairie, they will host Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bowie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully South Grand Prairie likes a good challenge.
