Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Huskies vs. Okemah Panthers
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pawhuska couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Okemah Panthers on Tuesday. The Huskies were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Pawhuska saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brooklyn Miles dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. Miles is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emillie Curry, who posted four points in addition to 12 rebounds and five steals.
Even though they lost, Pawhuska smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.
