Baseball Game Preview: Trimble Tomcats vs. Belpre Golden Eagles

The Trimble Tomcats will venture away from home to square off against the Belpre Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Trimble didn't have quite enough to beat Southern and fell 5-3. The Tomcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Belpre made sure to put some runs up on the board against Federal Hocking on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 11-1 victory.

Carson Moore was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Tabler, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Belpre now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Trimble, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Trimble came out on top in a nail-biter against Belpre when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Tomcats repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
