Laney entered their tilt with Randleman on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Trent Fowler was a standout: he scored two runs while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carston Wedemeyer, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Laney's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Randleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laney will head out to face off against Pinecrest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Buccaneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Randleman, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Patriots have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
