Volleyball Recap: Long Falls Short of Pleasant Valley in the Playoffs

Long and Pleasant Valley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Long had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Monday.

Long's defeat ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-12. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 35-14 record this season.

Long does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Mars Hill Bible on the 30th.
