Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Titans vs. Solon Comets
On Tuesday, Berea-Midpark came up short against the Comets and fell 58-49.
Berea-Midpark lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Andre Alexander, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Alexander pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Masyn Zahursky, who scored 14 points.
Berea-Midpark's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Solon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Berea-Midpark will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Avon is ranked 150th, while the Titans are ranked 132nd). As for Solon, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
