De La Salle is a perfect 8-0 against Clayton Valley Charter since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Ugly Eagles at 7:00 p.m. De La Salle will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
De La Salle is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing California: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Spartans blew the Grizzlies out of the water with a 52-14 final score. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

De La Salle had a senior duo take command as Jaden Jefferson rushed for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries and Brady Smith rushed for 96 yards and two scores on only seven carries. Those 161 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Jefferson.
De La Salle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 268 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.
Special teams played a big role in the game for De La Salle, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jefferson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 31-14 to Acalanes. While the Ugly Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dons 7-0 in the first quarter.
Although Clayton Valley Charter took the loss, they still got scores from Jhadis Luckey and Landon Trautner.
Clayton Valley Charter's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for De La Salle, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. De La Salle has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 288.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Clayton Valley Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 253.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
