Baseball Recap: Sandia Prep Comes Up Short

Sandia Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hope Christian Huskies, falling 18-6. If the Sundevils were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sandia Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hope Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandia Prep will head out to square off against Del Norte at 10:00 a.m. on March 15th. As for Hope Christian, they will face off against Moriarty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hope Christian's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
