Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Russell County). They blew past the Metcalfe County Hornets 18-2 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Russell County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Metcalfe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Russell County will face off against Logan County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lakers surely won't give up without a fight. Metcalfe County has already played their next game (against Adair County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
