Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbus Grove last Thursday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marion Local Flyers on Friday. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jefferson dropped their record down to 7-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Marion Local, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will welcome Spencerville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marion Local, they will be taking part in a tournament against Crestview at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
