Basketball Recap: Janiah Everette Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat NCSSM: Durham

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hertford County had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They secured a 34-29 W over the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns.

Hertford County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiah Everette out in front who shot 45% from the field en route to 14 points and four steals. Everette is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Karae' Alfred was another key player, putting up three points and 11 rebounds.

Hertford County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. NCSSM: Durham now has a losing record of 11-12.

Hertford County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-42 victory against Martin County on the 28th. NCSSM: Durham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
