Saugus proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 32) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-27 victory over the Camarillo Scorpions. This was payback for the Centurions, who suffered a 56-24 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Saugus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Lattimore out in front who picked up 66 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Mono Ortega got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Camarillo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shane Feller, who rushed for 168 yards and one TD. Another passer making a difference was Dylan Nicholson, who threw for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes.
