Softball Recap: McCurdy Takes a Loss

McCurdy came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pecos Panthers by a score of 11-9 on Thursday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

McCurdy got a big performance out of Isabella Perio, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Karina Archuleta was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

McCurdy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pecos, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, McCurdy will be taking part in a tournament against Thoreau at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pecos, they will take on St. Michael's in a tournament on Thursday. The Horsemen will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
