River View needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Wyatt Curtis. The Panthers walked away with a 22-14 victory over the Granger Spartans on Thursday for which the team can thank Curtis, who rushed for 80 yards and two scores, and also caught one touchdown. He has become a key player for River View: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

River View's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Granger, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. River View is set to square off against their familiar foe Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Granger will face off against rival Warden at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
