Volleyball Recap: Rocky Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rocky Mountain entered their tilt with Ripon on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since October 15, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Rocky Mountain got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 15-10.

Ripon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alayna Sprinkle, who had four digs and two aces, and Ashlyn Malone, who had eight kills, four digs, and two aces. Sprinkle is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season.

Rocky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ripon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Rocky Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Woodcreek on the 29th. As for Ripon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Merced on the 30th.
