Baseball Game Preview: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Norwood Mustangs

The Bellingham Blackhawks will head out to take on the Norwood Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Bellingham and seven for Norwood.

Last Thursday, Bellingham didn't have quite enough to beat Oxford and fell 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Blackhawks have lost by exactly two runs.

John Sullivan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Brady Iarussi was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Norwood came up short against Natick on Friday and fell 7-2.

Norwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bellingham, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Bellingham beat Norwood 5-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
