Soccer Game Preview: North Forest vs. Northside

The North Forest Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Northside Panthers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Forest can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They came up short against Worthing, falling 5-2. The defeat continues a trend for North Forest in their meetings with Worthing: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Northside had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Fighting Rams with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering Northside have won four contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Northside used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Kashmere. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Jacobo Jimenez, Isaac Perez-Molina, and Angel Melgares Rivera. Melgares Rivera made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
