Southview is 0-10 against Springfield since April of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will welcome the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Southview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Southview came up short against Ross and fell 6-3.

Kaiya Jacobs was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Rachael Katafiasz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Springfield lost 8-1 to Perrysburg on Monday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Southview's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Southview might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Springfield when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
