Strawberry Crest has gone a perfect 9-0 against Chamberlain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Strawberry Crest Chargers will head out to square off against the Chamberlain Storm at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Strawberry Crest has four straight victories, Chamberlain has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Strawberry Crest barely beat Hillsborough the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Strawberry Crest was the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Hillsborough on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Reuben Vasquez, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Toby Highsmith also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Strawberry Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain came up short against Gaither on Friday, falling 12-4.

Brihan Arteaga Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaden Hyde, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Strawberry Crest pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Chamberlain, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Strawberry Crest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Chamberlain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Strawberry Crest took their victory against Chamberlain in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strawberry Crest since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
