Baseball Recap: Welsh Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Welsh's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Welsh saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Gillett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Welsh's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Welsh is taking a road trip to take on Hackberry at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will welcome Ascension Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th.
