Valley's leading rebounder did his thing again on Saturday. Jake Apachee wasn't messing around, going 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The matchup was his third straight with 18 or more points.

Apachee and Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wingate at 3:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. The Pirates will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 170 places lower in their respective states), but they're not letting that get them down.
