Derek Montanez Game Report: vs Irvin

Bowie was led to victory by Derek Montanez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Tuesday. Montanez almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, good enough to also set a new career-high in assists in the process. He also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Bowie is 8-4 when he posts at least five steals, but 3-8 otherwise.

Montanez and Bowie will face off against Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Montanez duked it out with Austin (back in February of 2024), Bowie came out on top by a score of 58-43.
