McCormick is 9-1 against Ware Shoals since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The McCormick Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ware Shoals Hornets at 7:00 p.m. McCormick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

McCormick is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Dixie: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that McCormick blew Dixie out of the water with an 83-45 final score. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ware Shoals took a blow against Abbeville on Friday, falling 75-30. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Panthers are ranked 103rd).

McCormick's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.7 points per game. As for Ware Shoals, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.

McCormick strolled past Ware Shoals in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 82-63. Will McCormick repeat their success, or does Ware Shoals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
