Soccer Game Preview: Lebanon Trail vs. Centennial

Lebanon Trail hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers will take on the Centennial Titans at 7:00 p.m. Lebanon Trail has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Lebanon Trail is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took a 6-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Emerson. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Mavericks are ranked 104th).

Centennial, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 2nd and they too continued that trend. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Frisco on Friday.

Lennon Kindred and Ethan Leal scored all three of Centennial's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Centennial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight matches. Lebanon Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Lebanon Trail came up short against Centennial in their previous meeting back in February, falling 2-0. Can Lebanon Trail avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
