Volleyball Recap: Del Norte Comes Up Short

Del Norte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salida Spartans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21.

Salida had a senior duo take command as Kaylee Johnson had 11 digs and two aces and Cooper Fisher had six digs and two aces.

Del Norte now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Salida, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Del Norte has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Meeker on the 1st. As for Salida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Fork on the 1st.
