Soccer Recap: Bauxite Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Bauxite barely beat Arkadelphia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Miners' defense stepped up to hand the Badgers a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Bauxite have won five games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win keeps Bauxite at an undefeated 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those seven contests. As for Arkadelphia, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bauxite will take on rival De Queen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bauxite have won six straight at home, while De Queen won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Arkadelphia is set to challenge their familiar foe Mena at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
