Football Recap: Highland Park Extends Winning Streak to Four

Highland Park won the last time they faced Tyler and things went their way on Friday too. The Scots secured a 70-66 W over the Lions. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Lions are ranked 250th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cadarius McMiller, who rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Trey Haralson was in the mix too, providing the Lions with two scores.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Highland Park, bringing their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.2 points. As for Tyler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
