After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taylor, Mariemont was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Norwood Indians by a score of 2-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mariemont took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8.

Annie Tully paced Mariemont's offense, picking up seven kills. Tully got some help from Elle Seichter and her 18 assists. Tully also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Samantha Gaughan, racking up three apiece.

Mariemont's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Norwood, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mariemont has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against New Richmond on the 23rd. As for Norwood, they will host Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
