Volleyball Recap: Ashley Renwick's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pungo Christian Academy over Lawrence Academy

Pungo Christian Academy lost against Lawrence Academy on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Pungo Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashley Renwick, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Lawrence Academy was led to victory by Claire Smith and Maggie Price. Smith had 15 digs, while Price had four aces and three digs.

Pungo Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lawrence Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Pungo Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Albemarle School on the 2nd. As for Lawrence Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Ridgecroft on the 2nd.
