Baseball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

Perry Central and Evansville Mater Dei squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Perry Central had to settle for second. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Commodores of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Perry Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Duncan, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Duncan has hit this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Perry Central and nudges their season record down to 13-13. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Perry Central nor Evansville Mater Dei have any future games scheduled.
