Baseball Recap: Ruston Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ruston barely beat Northwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bearcats blew past the Falcons 7-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Bearcats have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Ruston's third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Northwood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ruston will host Ouachita Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.53 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northwood, they will take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
