Basketball Game Preview: Patagonia Lobos vs. St. David Tigers

The Patagonia Lobos will take on the St. David Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If St. David heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Patagonia took over last week. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Patagonia made off with a 35-34 win over Ash Fork. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lobos.

Patagonia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Gallardo led the charge by putting up four points in addition to ten boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Gallardo a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Gus Varela, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, St. David got the win against Tombstone on Friday by a conclusive 56-33.

Patagonia's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for St. David, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
