Basketball Recap: Maryknoll Comes Up Short

Maryknoll blew Leilehua out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Leilehua got their revenge. The Spartans fell just short of the Mighty Mules by a score of 51-49. The Spartans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Maryknoll's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Leilehua, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Maryknoll and Kalaheo will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leilehua, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. This will be the Mighty Mules' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
