Preview: Elkhart Elks vs. Buffalo Bison
Elkhart is 0-10 against Buffalo since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Elkhart Elks will head out on the road to square off against the Buffalo Bison at 6:30 p.m. Elkhart is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Elkhart suffered a tough 66-42 defeat at the hands of Teague. Elkhart has struggled against Teague recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Buffalo took a serious blow against Mexia on Tuesday, falling 108-49. While losing is never fun, Buffalo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1230th, while Mexia is ranked 391st).
Elkhart has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season. As for Buffalo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-21.
Elkhart came up short against Buffalo when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-39. Can Elkhart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
