Mineral Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Memorial 16-1 on Tuesday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
Nick Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Anderson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since April 3rd.

In other batting news, Preston Kline was incredible, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Gillie, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Mineral Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Western Reserve fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Maplewood on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 5-4. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Western Reserve saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Dotson, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Western Reserve's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Mineral Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mineral Ridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Western Reserve struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
