There's no place like home for Burlingame, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Carlmont Scots 3-2. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Scots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Burlingame who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-12.
Fabian Falconett paced Burlingame's offense, picking up 20 kills. Falconett got some help from Cole Ng and his 47 assists. Lucas Stuart controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Despite the loss, Carlmont had strong showings from Hean Ng, who had 21 digs and one assist, and Jonathan Edwards, who had five digs. Those 21 digs gave Ng a new career-high.
Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Carlmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
