Baseball Game Preview: Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes vs. Miami Vandals

The Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes will venture away from home to square off against the Miami Vandals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Arizona Lutheran Academy fell victim to Glendale Prep Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Coyotes were not able to get on the board.

Arizona Lutheran Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Urbieta, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Urbieta has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Miami was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to Wickenburg.

Miami's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
