Basketball Recap: Kennard Takes a Loss

Kennard suffered their closest defeat since January 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Broaddus Bulldogs by a score of 69-66. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

Broaddus had a senior duo take command as Colton Modisette went 10 for 16 on his way to 24 points and Ace Williams went 6 of 8 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Modisette has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kingston Sanders, who posted nine points and five boards.

Kennard has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-7 record this season. As for Broaddus, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Kennard has already played their next game (against Zavalla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Broaddus will be playing at home against Wells at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Broaddus' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
