Baseball Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short

Hillside lost to Northern Durham on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets lost 17-4 to the Knights. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micheal Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another was Alex Foster, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Hillside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Northern Durham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hillside is set to face off against their familiar foe East Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northern Durham will take on rival Riverside-Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
