Basketball Recap: First Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when First Baptist Academy faced off against Parkridge Christian on Friday. The Lions took a blow against the Panthers, falling 69-27. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkridge Christian found their leader in sophomore Josh Clark, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Clark. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Burbridge, who posted nine points and four steals.

First Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Parkridge Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

First Baptist Academy and Parkridge Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Lions see the court they'll take on Sports Leadership & Management at 2:45 p.m. on January 15, 2026. As for Parkridge Christian, their break will end when they face the Cobras on January 2, 2026.
