Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Trail Comes Up Short

If Buckeye Trail was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bellaire on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiland Hawks on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 19-25, 25-16.

Jersey Eddy paced Buckeye Trail's offense, picking up 12 kills. Eddy got some help from Anna Mcvicker and her 21 assists. Kayla Hinkle controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Buckeye Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Hiland, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1.

Buckeye Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hiland, they will be taking part in a tournament against Shenandoah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
