Baseball Recap: Carver Victorious

Carver owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Mashpee Falcons. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kyle Carey was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carver is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-10 otherwise. Carey was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-11. As for Mashpee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Carver will welcome St. John Paul II at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mashpee, they are taking a road trip to square off against Barnstable at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
