The Wesleyan Wolves will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Discovery Titans at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Wesleyan is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Georgia (they are ranked 54th, while Discovery is ranked 351st).
Wesleyan can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Tucker 9-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Wesleyan considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.
Meanwhile, Discovery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 8-1 walloping at the hands of Decatur.
Wesleyan's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for Discovery, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Wesleyan took their win against Discovery in their previous matchup back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wesleyan since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
