Basketball Recap: Penn-Trafford Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Greater Latrobe

Penn-Trafford posted their closest win since January 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past the Greater Latrobe Wildcats 54-52. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Wildcats are ranked 38th).

The win got Penn-Trafford back to even at 9-9. As for Greater Latrobe, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3.

Penn-Trafford will take on Greensburg Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Penn-Trafford is facing Greensburg Salem at the right time seeing as Greensburg Salem is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Greater Latrobe, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Greater Latrobe Wildcats challenge the Franklin Regional Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
