Softball Recap: Post Comes Up Short

Post fell victim to Sundown and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Roughnecks, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Antelopes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Post has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. The victory was the fifth in a row for Sundown, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Post will be playing in front of their home fans against Morton at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday. Post is facing Morton at the right time seeing as Morton is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sundown, they will head out on the road to take on Seagraves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
