Recap: Glendale Cardinals vs. Independence Patriots

The Glendale Cardinals were the 51-48 winner over the Independence Patriots when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Glendale took a 69-55 bruising from Independence on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Independence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Colonna out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Diego Martinez, who scored 17 points along with five steals and two blocks.

Glendale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale will take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Washington is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Independence, they will be playing at home against Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Copper Canyon is ranked 245th, while Independence is ranked 231st).
