Baseball Recap: Hebron's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hebron won against South Newton on Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Hawks came out on top against the Hammond Morton Governors by a score of 7-2. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Hebron's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Kenda, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Kenda has posted over his last seven matches. Another was Luke Charpentier, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Hebron pushed their record up to 13-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hammond Morton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron will venture away from home to challenge Knox at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond Morton, they will head out to face off against East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
